Sono Hanabira ni Kuchizuke wo (その花びらにくちづけを) began as a simple yuri visual novel that features a really light yuri story. It emphasized the soft romance between two girls and quickly became one of a kind in a world dominated by fetishist and heavy materials. It was also one of the firslonging t ecchi visual novel that features purely yuri relationships. Because of its uniqueness, it soon gained widespread popularity not only within the niche, but among many anime fans.
Following the success of the first game, Sono Hanabira quickly expanded into a series of games that all cater to the sweet fluffy side in us. Since its humble beginning, the visual novel series has also prompted several associated artworks, light novels, drama CDs, an artbook, and even an anime adaptation.
Impeccably complemented by Peko’s gorgeous artwork, Sono Hanabira is definitely one of the most adorable things I have ever seen.

Hi everyone I was wondering where the drama cds take place relative to the visual novels. Also are there any English text translations of the drama cds?
They take place during vacations, so I would assume they take place after most of the visual novels.
So are there any English translations? I could swear I’ve seen a translation for one of them but I’ve been digging through my history and can’t find it.

Reo-ppoi Radio is still on schedule. The fourth installment has Kaede’s voice actress guest star again, this time in a larger role. Most intriguing is this mock commercial that was uploaded by another user shortly after the third episode. It was bundled with the download from Perfect Dark. I can’t figure out what it’s in reference to.
That was a pretty cool video though I don’t recognize where it’s from too.
On that note, I probably should catch up on Reoppoi Radio soon.

It’s unlikely it will ever be translated, but it’s worth it for the interactions between Reo and Kaede (episodes 1, 4, and 5) that would never otherwise occur in the main series.

The similarities are indeed astonishing, especially the line “I think it is wonderful, if the cause of the mistake is love.” That sounds like something Yuuna would say, enough so that I actually went back through the translated scripts to see if she did say something similar.

You may want to know that I’m planning to finish the Drama CD translation after all. I’m already at 7/10 and I plan to finish the rest by the end of this week if things go as I planned. 🙂

Glad to hear that the game’s patch is almost complete. Looks like I’ve found another game to add to my collection of cool VNs.
Reo-ppoi Radio continues today, and once again Kaede-sensei guest stars. They have a chemistry I hope finds itself in a main work, i.e. the largest and smallest characters in light-hearted conversation. Fuguriya also announced that they have been receiving many letters asking how the earthquake affected them, so they had Anzu Hana personally address those concerns in a 2-minute special. Unfortunately, I can’t get it to play at the moment, so I don’t know what she said about it. Presumably, everyone at Fuguriya is alright and will continue to produce their works as normal.
The special video started to work many hours after it was uploaded. It was apparently the product of an emergency recording session arranged by Anzu Hana herself, which explains the slight echo in her voice. She claims that everyone is alright and living normally, but she wasn’t specific as to who “everyone” is, whether it was referring to all of the voice actresses and staff under Fuguriya’s employ or those working on the upcoming releases. I will assume it’s the former. It still isn’t known if or how the earthquake impacted the release dates of any of their products.

Mai have beautifull red eyes but in 2 cenes her eye color changes for a blue one just like Reo! anyone can check it if pay some attention

I found it strange how not only is the third game the only one to have these errors, but they weren’t corrected in the remake.
If you’re curious, check the sixth and ninth CGs in the Extra menu.
If it bothers anyone to the point of distraction, I could possibly color-correct the eyes and include them in a future version of the patch.
I think the change in eye color can be considered a novelty. Maybe that’s why they didn’t correct it even in the remake.
I’m not so sure. The change doesn’t happen consistently or often enough to be intentional. Then again, this is a minor issue and can be overlooked. By the same token, the name labels and dialogue text switch colors in the fourth and sixth games, but I’m not sure that was intentional either.
I don’t think it was intentional either, especially not for the original. Leaving it in the remake might have been, but probably not either. Still, I think for fans, it can be considered a neat little novelty thing… kind of like how misprints are especially cool.

I did saw it too, also, in the first SonoHanabira game, Yuuna’s eyes was red, or like Nanami’s eye color, not her original eye color.

One thing all of these incidents have in common is that only one of the characters has her eyes open. Perhaps it’s a color indexing fault: the colors for each region in the image are numbered, and the expected color for the first set of eyes went to the wrong pair because the colorist forgot to rearrange the color order. Given the amount of work that goes into a single frame and the limited budget and staff, these errors can easily happen.

The other characters shown in the web comic are actually Nanami’s classmates. They also show up in the light novels, so I think they are quite significant to the Hanabira Universe.
The characters, in the order that they appear in the page, are:
Ootsuki Aoi;
Shitara Misaki;
Asou Rin; and
Oda Nanami
Could this mean that we’re getting a new game featuring them?
Oh, and by the way, the title of the web comic is “Joshikou no Waidan,” which translates to “The High School Girls’ Dirty Talk.”
It’s been more than three years since this series was updated, so it would be a surprise to see any of them in a visual novel.

Takako and Runa came quite a while later than their debut on the web. Exactly how long after, I don’t remember though.
Edit: 2007/09/09 is their first debut. Their visual was announced two years later at the end of September 2009 and released in December 2010.
However, the last update was right before the release, so still very unlikely.
Apparently, Nanami happens to get involved in her friends’ conversation about their love lives, and Nanami wants to tell them her story. And based on what I understood from what I managed to read, their conversations were not exactly family friendly, if you catch my drift.

Yeah, I’m working on Natsu wo Gyutto ne! (Mai x Reo). I’m on hold on this translation project until my university exams are all over. Maybe a bit late to finish it though… well just wait for my release soon.
I don’t think the other games will ever be translated. People always give up halfway through. It is an absolute miracle that the 3rd game got one. That only took about FOUR years… !

That’s true. I myself, shoujo-ai hunter extraordinaire missed out on this series until last year. It shames me that it took me that long to discover this special gift to the Yuri Nation.
I guarantee this much, the day episode 8 is translated, will be just as epic as The Rock’s return to the WWE 3 months ago, receiving as huge of a pop as he got.

SO, BE CONSIDERATE AS WE TRANSLATORS ARE KIND ENOUGH TO PROVIDE YOU WITH THE TRANSLATIONS.

I’d like to add this too for those who vocally complain the speed of translations. Please do remember that it’s not only not an easy task, it’s extremely tedious, and somewhat boring work. And some of us have real life to attend to too: university, grad school, work, social life… etc. all take away time.
Of course, for those who just can’t wait, feel free to learn Japanese.
Damned leechers… i’ve ever seen such an impatience on french sites… even though most of the translators translate from english subs (pure japanese-french translators are rare in France), some leechers still complaint…

I’d recommend actually taking classes, which of course would depend on your area. There are probably plenty of great resources online though, so yea…

I must ring in and strongly disrecommend attempting to learn any language this way. Many people take their own language for granted and are unaware of just how complex it is, so they wrongly assume that all of the same conventions apply when they read translations in their native language. This is to say nothing of unspoken liberties taken by translators to minimize the amount of comprehension required on the part of the viewers.
If you choose to learn a second language, I must insist that you find some formal channel; if not a class, then a reputable textbook or website. Characters in fiction and those who translate their words have no interest in teaching the audience their language, so no translation, fanmade or otherwise, should be taken as educational material without a working knowledge of the basics.

If you’re in high school or college, take an elective in Japanese if your school has it. And if you don’t want to take it for credit (i.e. for GPA reasons or whatnot), or if you’re already out of school there are alternatives, such as MIT OpenCourseWare. (This is actually a really good place to start.)
Yeah. Agreed. To @Anon, learning language stuff is not an easy thing to do. If you just taking it for granted when learning languages, you’ll not going to learn anything at the end.
I don’t know how the others done their part on this matter, but in my case, I learn Japanese through books, manga, games, songs, dramas, tv shows, and online dictionaries. It is not recommended for you to learn Japanese like my style because it’ll take you a long damn time to fully understand the whole of Japanese language (in my case, It took me from year 2006 until now, without any real teacher to teach me).
So, if you’re REALLY, REALLY and REALLY interested in learning Japanese language, so do please find yourself a good Japanese language course/class and also a good teacher.
PS: Learning Kanji can be rally tough. So, endure it ^^

Japanese courses should be offered in major universities and community colleges. Those are usually the better places to learn Japanese. Online, I’d say try MIT OpenCourseWare. Personally, I prefer learning any second language in person though. There’s just something infinitely more valuable when you talk to people when learning a new language. So if you’re still in school, I’d recommend taking an elective if your schedule allows it.
I’m not sure how relevant this is to readers of this blog, but Peko is offering to replace copies of the first six light novels and the first compilation volume that were lost or damaged in the Tohoku earthquake free of charge until 31 August 2011. As the first six novels are out of print, this is an important gesture for those who managed to find any of them.

Asagi Ryu posted an announcement today. The one-year-after Sonohana doujin they are working on has been authorized by Fuguriya and will be published in the yuri anthology project “Xenocross“, which will debut in June. It will be printed in Hong Kong by EDEN OF XENO and made available to Chinese and Japanese audiences. Interestingly, the Twitter of the project leader, Nakiyoshi Tomino, also has a Spanish version of the promotional poster and even a few tweets in English, but no English version of the poster as of yet.
Addendum: Xenocross is a digital series, not a print publication. There are also versions of the poster in Traditional and Simplified Chinese posted on pixiv.
That’s a really huge and cool news!! I can’t wait to see it now.
The thing I think is most exciting of all this is that the doujin is authorized by Fuguriya, which means it is “official work” and will likely be in the same tone/feel of the series. No worries about weird distortions to the canon.

Furthermore, notice that in the second panel, the girls all still seem very interested in their lovers. Finally, that assumption just seems so silly. Just because a guy exists doesn’t mean all the girls will fall in love with him. That’s kind of not how love works.

The recent news on 7 is that the script has all been completed. Not sure about 5 or 8 although I think people are working on them. As for the remake, the patch for the third works for it, I think. Fuguriya made an announcement today. The next release is a second light novel compilation comprising the fourth through sixth volumes and a new short story “Three Couples’ Summer Festival”, written by JUN. It will be sold at C79. As with the previous compilation, the original light novels are out of print, so it should be valuable to anyone seeking to build a physical collection.

The blog post that included this image stated that this is a rough sketch of an image that will be in the final product. Given how little we know about it at this point, I’m not willing to discount any theories as to why it was posted in the first place.
I may be too quick to dismiss it as being a part of the story versus just a cute artwork insert. Cosplay is certainly something Sono Hanabira has done before (and anime fans generally love it). Although I have a hard time imagining Shizuku doing it, I guess gap moe could be nice. ^ ^
In any case, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
Actually I only made that reference because of the tiara Shizuku’s wearing. It could be any fantasy themed medium for all we know. The point is that if they plan to deliver a cosplay show ala episode 4 to us, we’ll welcome ti with open arms. Personally I’d like to see them go to the beach. Yes, even though we’ve seen both these nearly perfectly drawn women wearing their birthday suits before, I’d still jump for joy at the sight of them wearing a red (Shizuku) and black (Erisu) 2 piece set respectively.

I think the idea is that those school swimsuit is closely tied to elementary school kids, which would appeal to the loli factor. It doesn’t do much to me though. It just looks like a fairly bland outfit.

I think they do exist, and kids do wear those. As for the name tag thing, it’s not much extra cost. It’s certainly doesn’t require much customization since I imagine the names aren’t stitched on. I don’t think they’re that weird in real life. Bland and normal, but not weird.

Any Advise If any Nico Nico Douga video is taking forever to load?
Seems to be a pretty common problem. (It takes forever for me too…) Not sure if there is a fix for it. I’ve asked around before, and no one seems to be able to help. But maybe someone more well-versed in Nico Nico can shed some light.

I had quite an interest in Son Hanabira, being a fan of yuri and hentai. From what I heard, it’s is not just mindless sex, but really romantic, which makes me very curious. So, thanks for that! I tried the patches out and fortunately it works on my computer (I made bad experiences with such things, so I initially feared that it won’t work).

P.S. I believe the crazy lag on this page is due to massive number of comments having to load on the same page. Hence I think the lag would be greatly reduced if the comments were shown on separate pages with say 15 or 20 comments per page. For the sake of locating the latest comments on the first page, perhaps the comments could be displayed in order of newest to oldest, with the newest at the top, and links to the first page, last page, and pages within a 3 page range. At least, this is my analysis from observing how the page loads and observing the task manager’s data. Hope I’m not pressuring anyone. It’s just a suggestion as I fear that at this rate, sooner or later this page will become intensive in terms of data transfer and processing.

I absolutely loving Hanabira 7. I’m happy that Kaede is actually taking more of a lead during their fun time. I’m also love the line about best couples.I knew Nanami and Yuuna weren’t being as subtle as they should.
One thing I defiantly enjoy about the series is the cameos that some characters make in games. I really to enjoy trying work out far the moments with characters cameoing and the games main focused characters.
I agree. I really enjoy having the characters make cameos in games. It’s a lot of fun and helps to have more continuity between the various installments.

Fuguriya posted an announcement today. The first and second games are getting reprints to be sold at Comiket 80. The next visual novel will feature Shizuku and Eris and will be released around late September.
I must clarify that these reprints are actually remakes similar to that of the third game. They will be getting new cover art and music from the later games. First game link, second game link.

Super excited to see another Shizuku x Eris visual novel. They really need it, as they have the weakest characters by a fair margin. Yuuna and Nanami totally blew me away in the sixth. Loved them both. Kaede Sara have probably the most interesting and developed story, back story, and relationship. Runa and Takako follow closely; the two are fascinating characters by themselves, and their history and dynamic are incredible as well. (And this is my opinion after only one game… Have yet to play the 9th.) And of course, Reo and Mai are pretty much the face of the series, and a pretty classic combination.
On the other hand, Shizuku x Eris have little going for them except a cliche story (which is super enjoyable, but…) and gorgeous gorgeous looks. I really hope the September one pushes them even further.

I keep seeing that hana 7 is fully translated and that its 50% done on some. I don’t know which to believe, so can someone give me a confirm or deny that it’s close to coming out cause I they just get my hopes up.

Is it just me or does the game “blink” every 30 seconds , and is un-minimizable without a crash? (gah spell check hates that word combination) I really appreciate the uploads though, thank you!
I would suggest running the game with Aero turned off. Also if you are going forward manually, use the keyboard and not the mouse. Have gotten some of the crashes myself, just don’t minimize the game but alt-tab.
Simply, just don’t leave it alone or click on any other things that is not the current game you’re playing and it will not crush anymore.
If you are playing on Windows 7 or Vista, it might help to set compatibility to Windows XP for some of the earlier games. (Right click > properties)

Yea, same, it worked for me as well. Haven’t been blinking ever since I changed the compatibility mode to Windows XP. Of cause, I had to remember not to minimize the game as well, lol.
On 29 March 2011, Asagi Ryu posted this promotional image for Music Box of Memories. I didn’t know it at the time, but this is Makino Yoshimi, a character from the light novel カーテンコールは終わらない (see page 15). In Music Box of Memories, she is promoted to a main character with a much larger role.
So she’s an all new character? I like her style. ^ ^
She isn’t new, but she will be unfamiliar to much of the audience. However, it was also announced that there are 13 main characters, two of which are completely new.
Did she have a big role in カーテンコールは終わらない?
She is the head of the drama club that Sara joins. They become fast friends to the point that Sara is charged with succeeding Yoshimi, who is to graduate that year. I don’t know anything more.
I have been told that the light novels and drama CDs are much more effective at serving plot than the visual novels, but unfortunately, there is little interest in translating them. It is even more so because Music Box of Memories will draw heavily from these materials for its own story.

I can say that working on these pages was as strenuous as working on a visual novel translation. I had to learn new software and editing techniques specialized to dialogue insertion and arrangement, but it was well worth it in the end. Please support this release when it comes out.
I will also say now that I am editing the Japanese version in addition to the English version. For that reason, I advise against purchasing it now as this copy is an earlier version with multiple errors. The release on Eden of Xeno will have a more accurate script, improved dialogue placement, and uncensored artwork, to say nothing of the multiple languages (currently English, Spanish, French, Indonesian, Chinese, and Japanese).

They’re really short indeed, but it does take me more than 20 minutes to get through. Anyway, yea, I always feel like I want more right after I complete one of the games. I still do actually. ^ ^
That’s weird. Most SN games last about 3 hours for me, or sometimes more. I wonder why that is? Either that or Mai x Reo 2 is the shortest episode in the series.
3 hours sound about right, actually, but I think that’s also partly because I like to listen to all the voices and sound effects. If I just read through and click through everything, the game runs a lot shorter.

Well, that makes more sense. The 3 hours thing was an estimation since like yourself, I so do enjoy hearing the seiyuus pour their hearts out is pure bliss..both out and in bed.
I still remember the final act of episode 4 where Kaede and Sara exchanged their vows. Beautiful.
As for your question on the script, I haven’t finished episode 5 yet so you’ll have to wait for the Wolfpack leader (AXYPB) to share his words of wisdom on this subject.

What’s the major revision of Xenocross ?
I don’t know if it’s major, but just from comparing those two images from AXYPB’s comment, the most glaring thing is Runa’s introduction has been changed. One says “first year,” while the other says “middle school, first year.”
Suffice it to say that the changes are much more noticeable on other pages. I only posted one because out of the three pages already available, the revisions I made here are the most visible.
What happening with the translation work in progress with hana 7?
Translation is still in progress, but from what I’ve heard, project has been handed over to another group, to whom I’ll link when they make their public announcement.

Yep yep. I’m very excited about that too. I also want to mention that the sixth is being worked on by a group, but again, more details will come when the group decides to make their announcement. I have very fond memories of both six and seven, so this is really awesome news.

I don’t know how long they’ve been working on it, and I’m sure they’ll make it public when the time seems right for them. For now, I put that up just so people will know someone is working on a patch already.
Say, speaking of the Hana 1 and 2 remakes, I’m wondering if AXYPB is thinking of doing a new patch for Hana 1, since considering the way that Count Pacula’s patch is structured, use of it in the remake might as well be impossible.

I would like to find interested parties to dedicate to light novel translation. Several of them are referenced–some of them heavily–by Music Box of Memories. It would be unfortunate if the non-Japanese readers had to rely on annotations to understand their significance.
Some have been translated by Wings of Yuri and various people, but as far as I know, other than those, none are translated or being worked on.

In the Artbook,a page compare heights and breast size of characters. Curiously, Reo is smaller and flatter than Runa.
Runa only seems smaller/younger because of the age difference between her and Takako. Takako looks like an adult, so it would probably have the same effect if Reo was her lover
Runa is also younger in her actual age. She’s in middle school.

Her loudness and whines are part of her childish personality, especially spoiled kids who throw tantrums all the time for the smallest things. They have their charms. ^ ^

Hey, do you guys have any problems with the games getting that “This program is not responding” error? This usually happens when I’m playing and switch windows. Like when I’m on MSN or Skype while playing, and when I come back after responding some messages, the game simply crashes, with that error. Anyone else here have the same problem?
I think this happens usually if you’re running the game in Windows 7 or Vista. To fix it, try right clicking on the game .exe (e.g. HANA7.exe), go to properties, find the compatibility tab, and select the check box that says “Run this program in compatibility mode for” and select Windows XP. Hope this works for you!
If not, I guess you might just need to sign off MSN or Skype while playing.

I don’t remember what the last scene is since it’s been quite a while since I played Hanabira 2. To check whether you’ve gotten the real end, just check either the CGs or the scenes. If there are still scenes/ CGs missing, then you didn’t get the real end, and you need to make different choices for the four choices.

The second game took me a while to realize as well that the choices matters. I chose all the “bad” choices cause I just like seeing Sara squirm a bit, but then the game ends suddenly and that made me sad D :

hmmm after playing 2 and 3 now i’m not sure who my favorite couple is :3 i wanna say kaedexsara but maixreo is just so cute too.
From my observation, I think most sono hanabira players would find maixreo to be the cutest ;D (not including the couples from the untranslated ones yet)
I always feel this way, and constantly change my “favorite” couple depending on which one I most recently finished.

Fuguriya made an announcement today. The next visual novel featuring Shizuku and Eris is titled リリ・プラチナム “Lily Platinum”. It will be released in November. No images or other promotional material has been released at this time.

hi I have a little problem well actually 2 1st when I try to install hanabira 5 it marks me a windows filejoint error and crashes and 2nd all the other hanabiras had lost the letters or characters in game what do i do

Not sure if these solutions will fix your problem but try..
– Change compatibility mode to Windows XP SP3
– Change your language for non-unicode programs to Japanese
Hm… You might need East Asian languages. Also, try creating a new folder and putting in the extracted files into that new folder.

The artwork is good (ofc it is), the translation is top notch and the story is good.

DLsite was updated with the remakes back in August. If you had previously bought the games you just need to download them again.
The differences aren’t really that big between the old and the new, so unless someone uploads it somewhere, I’m not going to put a link to the remake. More importantly, as reculeor says, it’s on the DLsite.

Such a lovely series so far. Started with SH5 and surprisingly enjoyed the story and the character development & interactions more than the sex which I now find to drag on a bit at times. Also love the art and the music, just wish the CG wasn’t censored as it seems pointless at that level.
Really hope SH 6 and onwards finish being translated as it’s a wonderful series.

Actually, these works were made by another artist.
The artist goes by the name “ilolamai”, the artist normally does fan art of female characters. She commisioned artwork for Taay’s OCs. Though it looks great, Taay’s original artwork for her own OCs is actually not bad. You can distinguish who created the artworks by clicking on the artworks on Taay’s deviantart profile.
I really like ilolamai’s work because it is clean and very well coloured. Though you can find good nuggets of artwork on deviantart at regular intervals. There are even several art groups who specialize in collecting yuri artwork. It’s pretty cool.

Because translators from japanese to english are rare… like cleaners who can uncensor yuri raws (yuri hentai) too…
Not really. Those fansub group that fansub anime(s) got their own translators each. Well, maybe translating novels is tougher than anime I guess..
I would say it’s the relative rarity of fansub groups working on light novels, and especially light novels in a niche genre. Sono Hanabira is, after all, still not a super well known series.

One day left. So excited I can’t sleep.
For the last few years around this time, Sono Hanabira has helped me to get into the winter Christmas spirit. This year’s no different. With the release of a new installment just a few days ago and the translation to come, I’m feeling just a little more cheerful as we approach December and the end of a… kind of terrible year.
And with episode 10’s release this, the sequel saga is complete. the big question is, what’s next for Fuguriya? I wouldn’t want to see a 3rd chapter for any of the couples and I’m not sure how much in demand a sequel for Hanahira is. Sure, a 3rd chapter would be nice but let’s leave that as a last resort. We haven’t seen the sequels of NanaYuuna or TakaRuuna translated yet but I’m assuming from those who’ve played and understood the sequels that like the already translated sequels, these two pairings will also end in a pretty positive “together forever” note. Same goes for ShizEris.
Back to the main question. I think this leaves Fuguriya with the following options:
-Finally give Nanami’s friends the spotlight and base an episode around them.
-Create a completely new couple.
-A Hanahira sequel.
Personally I’d like to see a love triangle scenario where it isn’t two ladies fighting to earn the heart of one lovely lady but all 6 possible endings come out of it…however, I don’t think it would be easy to make a love triangle scenario as sweet as a two girls and their love nest.
I guess it all depends on what Fuguriya’s next project will be after Xenocross.
There’s no room for a love triangle within the Sono Hanabira series. Wouldn’t mind a new couple.
Reo and Mai should get a third chapter!! Then a fourth, and a fifth. I’ll never ever get tired of Mai devouring Reo.

Love triangle does, on the surface, seem to be a little outside the vibes of Sono Hanabira, but I do think there is a way to do it such that it remains consistent with the “feel” of the series. A fun casual story with three characters. Not so much angst. A potential real choice that friend zones either one of them (and before that one develops feelings to avoid hurt emotions). It’s possible I suppose.
Still, I admit. Such stories are unlikely, but it’s something I’ve wanted to see for a long time with Fuguriya. This is a good time to shake things up. But most likely, I think we’d probably just see a new couple, which would be super lovely as well. In any case, we won’t know for quite a while.
Yup, it ain’t easy pulling off a love triangle in St. Michael’s. We’ll see what happens next year.
As for Mai x Reo sequels, I think they’ve had more than enough exposure. Besides their two chapters, they’ve had the most light novels and drama CDs of the entire cast with Nanami and Yuuna coming 2nd, their own Web series AND Web Radio show plus an OVA. All that’s left is a doujin game, but I’ve already discussed ideas in AXYPB’s blog.
My point is it’s about time the other couples get a chance to shine. To capitalize with the release of the latest episode, give the College Queens their own OVA as well. Do you know how much a well made OVA featuring the 2 most gorgeous looking women in the series would sell? Sorry “Shortie” fans but as awesome as the MxR combo is, I was mostly waiting for Reo to eat Mai rather than seeing Mai eat Reo all the time. Please do not use the it’s in character excuse.

I personally don’t like love triangles that much, but I do agree that something fresh is more preferable than a third sequal to the current couples.
From what I’ve read, Nanami’s three friends doesn’t seem to be into yuri (I could be wrong), so it’ll probably be odd to have them starring as main characters. Then again, their lack of interest in yuri might make the plot more interesting?
Anyway, I do look forward to how Fuguriya will continue the Sono Hanabira series d(^ . ^)b
Introducing different routes/endings would not necessarily mean a love triangle. It’s possible to do a story where you get to choose who becomes the friend and who the lover (and/or both) depending on the choices without hurting either’s feelings.
In any case, yea, while I love vanilla, but I like a little spice at times too. ^ ^
Eden of Xeno is now hiring translators for all of the light novels. These translations will be included as free supplementary material in future volumes of Xenocross for the benefit of those unable to read or legally obtain the light novels.

I used the no hearts patch but there were still a couple of hearts here and there. One pretty early and a couple near the end. There was also one point where the japanese text came before the english one.
Otherwise excellent job and I’m hoping you’ll keep making these patches 😀

Anyway, that’s ok. I quickly gave up on it after patching together a normal one from the Reo x Mai intro. Still, it’d be nice to see it happen if someone capable see’s this.
I did however write a short SH story (about 1400 words) for a Christmas competition on a video game website. My memory is rather poor though and so I’m not sure I got the feel and personalities of the characters and the events right.
Due to the nature of the site hosting this comp the story had to be completely work safe so going off that plus the general fact that 99% of “fan fiction” is terrible I doubt anyone will like it at all but if you’re at all interested would you care to take a quick look and see if it feels right?
(only if you manage to find time of course.)

I have no idea just how much fan-made content on the series there is to be honest. And I’m not exactly sure how to go about getting them all either. We’ll see what happens I guess.

In two weeks I plan to make a few changes to The G-Empire and adding a Sono Hanabira list is part of that schedule. I don’t have anything bad planned, I just want to do my part as a fellow member of the yuri nation just like you. So what do you say, permission granted?

With that said, I hope you can listen to some of my considerations. I’ve always believed that part of the reason it’s so easy for fans of the Sono Hanabira franchise to get quick updates on anything related to this series is because there is a place where most of the information and the people gather. This consolidation of everything is part of the key to letting people have easy access. And of course, it wasn’t easy to build this page to this point (it literally took years…), and I have so many people to thank for that. (You all know who you are!!)

whenever i play sono hanabira 7 runa x takako the first game of theirs, i always get “Halfway End” I don’t get this because i choose a bunch of different answers 3 times to see if i would go to the next scene, does anybody have the correct choices? I really want to know the whole storyline behind their game..:/

Hanabira 7 is probably the hardest to get the complete end because it has so many bottoms, whereas all the ones before, you could get away with just choosing tops. Anyway, save/load will eventually get you there, but having a guide is even quicker.

I’m pretty sure that you only have to answer a certain number of questions “correctly” so it’s possible to get the true end via a few different combinations.

If you don’t have your OS set to Japanese locale make sure the file path doesn’t have any Japanese characters in it.
the windows have a title in points and strange symbols and the window say main window:filejoin and later have strange simbols
and i can’t open the set up, it say a message in symbols
There’s no need to use the setup. And did you read what I said about the file path?
Instead of:

rename the folder to:

Or just try moving all the contents to a new folder. This usually works for some people.
