Taking a break from my busy shopping and tasting schedule, I made my usual rounds of checking out blogs yesterday. To my delight, I saw that the Sono Hanabira ni Kuchizuke wo anime that was announced earlier this year, but had since then been somewhat forgotten was featured in Ichijinsha.

As the director is Masayuki Sakoi, the characters do look reminiscent of Strawberry Panic! In fact, Reo kind of looks like Hikari to me. I love these cute character designs.

imho the art seems fairly archetypal, but one really can’t go wrong with it.

Eh, it seems a bit better than the standard to me. Maybe the content is affecting my judgment. I’ll be waiting for this to come out, regardless.
Hikari and Reo do appear quite similar. Of course, their personalities are wildly divergent.

@Fujii_Itsuki: Strawberry Panic had decent story although a bit generic. I do hope that this will stray away from the mood that Marimite seems to have set for all yuri anime. Having played the game, I think it’s very possible as the game set a very different and nice atmosphere.

@rockleelotus: I’m pretty sure that this might end up being a short h-anime OVA. This whole series of games targets almost exclusively yuri fans, so I’m not surprised some haven’t heard of it.

Oh yes, I know that the game can get a bit explicit at times, so I’m wondering if any of that content will make it into the anime (prolly not, but one can hope… xD)
I hate how short yuri anime usually is. I’m really hoping that this one has decent length to it.
@SparkyTheGryphon: If the anime is to follow the visual novel closely, it might end up being a short 2-3 episode OVA even with all the H-scenes included. To be a short series, the plot is going to have to substantially expanded. But so far, my bet is on it being something like Shoujo Sect Innocent Lovers.
I agree with you Yi. It might be a bit longer, but I don’t expect a full series.

The character designs look promising! (To me, at least)
This is one anime adaption I really hope they don’t fudge up. Definitely looking forward to this. I hope they tell us about a estimated release date soon, haha.
