It’s been so long since my last entry. I had final exams and then right after I went on vacation. In fact, I’m still on vacation and I am now blogging from Taiwan. Anyway, finally another anime post and it’s a continuation of my rather belated jumping on the Nanoha bandwagon entries.
I think most have been said about Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A’s. Its success has been blogged numerous times, and its appeal attracts many different target audiences, whether they be little girls aspiring to become great mages like Nanoha, or pedophiles drooling over the jail baits, or simply people appreciating a great plot for a genre typical of boring repetitive story lines. As such, I won’t write too much on the merits of this series, except to say that it’s much much better than Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha.
I do, however, have a few side comments. It was really refreshing to hear the Knights’ weapons speak German. Because I don’t ever get much use of my crappy German, this was a kind of a fun thing. Of course, their German sound just as awkward as Raging Heart’s English, but whatever.
My favorite part of this series had to be when the Book of Darkness/ Tome of the Night Sky came out. She looks so cool and I love her costume so much. No one else’s magical costumes from Nanoha parallels hers. Book of Darkness herself is a great character as well.
